Every BEGINNER CLASS teaches a series of easy poses and breathing practice for doing at home to gain the full benefits from weekly classes.
All classes are small intentionally to offer individual attention to your body's unique abilities and needs.
Private classes for three or more people may be scheduled at a time not being offered as a regular group class - call to discuss how you can fit yoga into your schedule.

wHAT TO eXPECT
Classes are scheduled to be 90 minutes including guided awareness meditation, breathing instruction, and a series of timed and precisely aligned poses for opening stiff joints and releasing tension in the muscles.
Gentle Yoga claases may be modified to 60 to 75 minutes based on participant's abilities. Private sessions may be valuable to build stamina for fuller participation in a group class.
All teachers are trained to provide attention to each body's abilities with attention to precise alignment and timing to ensure a safety from injury and healing for existing issues.
You will feel a sense of calmness and positive well-being after the first class. As you continue to open and release tensions in your body, you may start to feel less pain and more healing of old issues that have limited your life. More flexibility in muscles and more stability in your bones and joints will improve your body's performance in daily activities and sports/exercise; and prevent injury caused by a tight and stiff body.
Svaroopa Yoga is a restorative and healing style of yoga. As such, private sessions may be recommended to address specific needs for healing your body and mind from old or new issues. This may be used as a complementary practice alongside of physical therapy, chiropractic therapy, mental health therapy, other wellness alternatives, or medical treatment.
Private sessions are offered to address your specific needs with both individualized yoga poses or Embodyment therapy. These sessions can be scheduled at the Yoga to You Wellness Center or at your home. For successful use of yoga to assist in preventing or healing a specific injury, you will be expected to begin a home practice.
Embodyment is a hands-on therapy unique to Svaroopa Yoga that opens the spine from the release of deeply held muscle tension. Each session is one hour and equals the benefits of six intense yoga classes to open and heal the body with subtle and profound effects.
